Mary Marg Helgenberger, born December 16, 1958 in the US, is an actor. She began her acting career around the turn of the decade, and was initially noticed due to the role she played as Siobhan Rooney from 1982 to 1986 in the daytime show Ryan's Hope. The most well-known of her roles is her performance as Catherine Willows in the CBS police procedural drama. Crime Scene Investigation, a TV show that ran between 2000 and 2013, and Immortality the TV movie made in 2015. She reprised her role in its subsequent sequel Vegas (2022-present). Helgenberger has also played the character K.C. She won the Emmy Award in 1990 for Outstanding Supporting actress in the Drama Series, in recognition of her role as Koloski in China Beach, an ABC Drama China Beach from 1988 to 1991. The actress has also been featured in the TV programs Under the Dome, Intelligence and the feature films Species (1996) Species II (1998), Erin Brockovich (2000) as well as Mr. Brooks (2007). McCain is the oldest of four children. McCain has attended her time at the Phoenix Country Day School, the only all-girls private Catholic school. In 2007, she graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Art history from Columbia University. In 2017, she joined as co-host on the daytime show The View, which she was host until 2021. The show's work was recognized by her earned the honor of four Daytime Emmy Award nominations. Other projects of McCain include becoming a Daily Mail columnist after her tenure of three years with The View. McCain also has written four books: My Dad John McCain, Dirty Sexy Politics and America You Sexy Bitch.
