Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four kids born August 9, 1976, from Beaumont Puy of Domme. From a very young age, both her dental doctors parents and teacher mom supported her love of theatre and drama. It was this love which trumped her original desire to be the first primatologist. The actress became famous as an actress in her early years and with great success. When she finished her education She was a part of the French talent-spotting TV show Jeunes Premiers which was backed by Canal+. She won the award for the best young Actress prize at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors in the year 2000. She then began a acting career. Tautou was born into a Catholic home, and was a member of the her church even though she was a student at The Institut Catholique de Paris. She has pursued a modeling career alongside her acting career and is the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc and Chanel often referred to as The Chanel Muse. She also has a serious photographic passion and has recently produced an exhibition of her work during the Arles Festival, titled Superficial. Her photos are mostly about famous people and celebrities. The exhibit also includes self-portraits in addition. Audrey Tautou's global popularity and success exploded following her appearance in the film as Amelie Poulain's leading woman in Le Fabuleux of Amelie Poulain. Amelie was a global success in the field of box office, and won awards around the globe. It is currently the top grossing French language movie on the market in US. Following the release of this film, Tautou starred in a variety of films, ranging from British dramas and Jean Pierre Jeunet's long dimanche de fiancailles. She then moved to Hollywood and was in the film with Tom Hanks alongside Ron Howard in The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown.
