Cassandra Monique Batie aka Andra Day, is an American R&B/Soul singer-songwriter. She is the recipient of numerous awards such as the Grammy Award a Children's and Family Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award along with nominations for an Academy Award. Andra is not simply an old-fashioned R&B singer, her gospel blues and jazz roots can be heard in a style that's effortless and stylish. The debut of her album Cheers to the Autumn (2015) she broke into the Top Ten R&B/hip hop charts and earned a few Grammy nods. In 2017, her contribution to Marshall's score was acknowledged with an Academy Award. Amen (2018), the song Make Your Troubles go Away (2020) as well as their Golden Globe winning portrayal of Billie Holiday (The United States vs. Billie Holiday 2021) are all contributing to the anticipation for the album she will release next. Andra Day was birthed Cassandra Monique Batie, in Edmonds Washington. She grew as a child in San Diego and the metropolitan area. In the area, she performed at churches, and was enrolled into the School of Creative and Performing Arts. As she grew up and listened to music of the present, she was a fan of contemporary R&B songs and eventually pop. Her heart was always drawn to classical jazz and soul singers. DJs began playing the track at the radio. The album she released her debut Cheers To The Autumn (2015) was recorded by Adrian Gurvitz. The album was released by Warner Bros. Records. The song "Rise Up" was a hit worldwide for social justice campaigns. The album received nominations two times for Grammys. It was also nominated for Best R&B Album. The United States Versus Billie Holiday was her second album that was released in the year 2019 and it was a concept album about the life of Billie Holiday. The United States against Billie Holiday came out in 2021. This was the year that she also appeared as Holiday. Andi Mathichak was born and raised in the US. She made her television debut in shows like 666 Park Avenue, Orange Is the New Black and Blue Bloods prior to making her feature film debut as Allyson Nelson, in the horror movie series Halloween as well as the sequels. Andi matichak is an American actress, born 03 May 1994 in Framingham in Massachusetts.
